Welcome to my webpage. I don't know how you may have found yourself here, but I am thankful that you did. First of all, let me say that I thank God for every opportunity He gives me to glorify His name...and I serve a glorious, Almighty God. My God is able to lift you out of sinking sand and set you on the Solid Rock that is called Jesus Christ. I pray that you know Him as your Lord and Savior. I pray that He is real to you. If He's not, I pray that you will call upon the name of Jesus today, for there is no other name by which we are saved. I have over 20 years experience in the music ministry having spent over 10 year serving as Minister of Music in various churches, then another 10 years in full-time music evangelism. My years in music evangelism took me all over Mississippi as well as many other states including Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, Missouri, Florida, North Carolina and Alabama. I was privileged to have been featured on many state Baptist events such as the Mississippi Baptist Evangelism Conference, Mississippi Baptist Pastor's Conference and the Pastor's and Wives Retreat. I was also featured at the Evangelists' Retreat and other evangelistic events sponsored by the Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists and held in conjunction with the Southern Baptist Convention. I served as president of the Conference of Mississippi Baptist Evangelists for 2002 and as Assistant Music Director for the Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists for 2002-2003. I have also released several recordings and have been featured on Christian radio. I recently accepted a position in the public relations department at Mississippi State Hospital, the nation's largest facility for the treatment of individuals who suffer from mental illness. I also now serve as part-time minister of music at Harrisville Baptist Church in Simpson County, MS. However, I am still available for revivals and concerts as my schedule allows. The primary focus of Steve Walker Music Ministries is leading worship music for revival meetings. During a church revival, I lead congregational singing, provide and coordinate the special music and work with your people to organize a revival choir for each service. In addition to revivals, I am also available for solo concerts, banquets, homecomings and other special services. I combine a mixture of traditional, southern gospel, praise and worship and contemporary Christian music to minister to a variety of age groups. It is my desire to work in the local church, ministering alongside the pastor and evangelist to reach lost souls for Christ. I have never asked a church to pay a specific amount for the work I may do there. I minister simply on a love offering basis. My God is faithful and will supply all of my needs.
